In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tasmanian State Government called for additional amendments or submissions for the 2020-21 Budget Process. YNOT has called for Youth Connectors to be employed in Tasmanian Government Employment Hubs to support young people to engage with relevant training and work. 

YNOT proposed one key ask for the Tasmanian Government 2020-21 Budget Community Consultation, Budget Priority Statement: the development of an inaugural Tasmanian Youth Strategy and associated Action Plans to ensure all young people can flourish and live their best life in Tasmania. 

YNOT invited young Tasmanians aged 12-25 years to share their experiences of COVID-19 as well as their ideas and solutions for the social and economic recovery of Tasmania. The survey was open from 18 June to 6 July 2020.
