YNOT CEO, Tania Hunt said, “this public consultation process provides an opportunity for all Tasmanians to provide feedback on how we can better support young people to successfully transition into adulthood.”. Members of the Youth Employment Alliance Back Calls for a Taskforce to Help Shape the Youth Jobs Strategy 02 November 2023 Members of the Tasmanian Youth Employment Alliance have thrown their support behind the Beacon Foundation and TCCI who are calling for the State Government to establish a taskforce to help guide the development of the States first ever Youth Jobs Strategy. The Youth Employment Alliance, an initiative of the Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT), is a unique collaboration of experienced youth focused services, that work collectively to elevate the voices of young Tasmanians 15-25 years in addressing barriers to economic participation and further education and training in Tasmania. The Tasmanian Youth Story Unearthed: Pride in Tasmania but life harder than it needs to be 18 August 2023 The Youth Network of Tasmania and Brand Tasmania today released the report and findings from the Tasmanian Youth Story project. This project aimed to capture the unique experiences of what it is like being a young person living in Tasmania, in order to help decision-makers better understand the opportunities, challenges, wants and needs of young people aged 18-25 years. Youth Forum to Focus on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Tasmanian Communities 01 June 2022 Young Tasmanians want to see a more safe, equitable and inclusive Tasmania and will share their views with their peers and decision makers by attending the Tasmanian Youth Forum (TYF) “I am Me” statewide forum in Launceston today. Over 150 young people aged 12-25 years will discuss what young people need to feel safe expressing who they are in our communities. It identifies transition points that may be applied to map current social policy and programs in our State.
