YNOT Policy Platform

The Youth Network of Tasmania’s Youth Affairs Policy Platform was developed to outline YNOT’s views on key issues affecting the interests of young people and the youth sector in Tasmania.

The Policy Platform aims to:

  • articulate the views and aspirations of the youth sector;
  • help build a sense of sector identity through a common objective base;
  • assist YNOT in providing leadership on key issues in the youth sector;
  • inform and guide the work of YNOT;
  • provide information on issues affecting young people aged 12-25; and
  • state YNOT’s commitments to progressing these key areas.

The Youth Network of Tasmania’s Youth Affairs Policy Platform is a living document based on research, consultation and best practice.  In order to best reflect the needs of young people and the youth sector it will be reviewed on a biannual basis and updated accordingly to ensure it remains up to date and relevant.

This document can also be used to inform and contribute to the work of other organisations and to inform government and funding bodies of the work and commitments of YNOT to Tasmanian young people and the youth sector.
